IT Cosmetics Vitality Lip Flush in Je Ne Sais Quoi

The shade that I was supposed to get with my Showstopper was Damsel, but instead I found Je Ne Sais Quoi in my package. I didn't find it enough of an issue to send everything back; there is always a future order to acquire Damsel.

The literal meaning of Je ne Sais Quoi is "I don't know what"... well at least that's what Google told me :) It's a very pale pink tube of lip product, which doesn't give much away with regards to what it will look like when applied. However as other IT Cosmetic products which I love, it is made up of a whole lot of delicious ingredients.

First and foremost is something called "IT Cosmetics Hydra-Luxe™ Technology", which obviously hydrates your lips and while at it, it's supposed to minimize the appearance of lip lines and wrinkles :) Moreover it also contains plum oil, cherry oil, shea butter, aloe,  jojoba, Vitamins A, C, E, Acai, Green Tea and White Tea to nourish, condition, and help protect our lips  from free-radicals. Of course being the wonderful lip product that it is, it does not contain any talc, parabens, sulfates, mineral oils, petrolatums, synthetic fragrances, or phthalates. Finally it is also hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenic.

Now first thing about this product. The formula is a bit soft and as you can see from the picture below, after a few wears and careless application my lipstick is leaning towards one side, and rubs up and down each time I use it. Sort of like my Fresh lip balms.
However the formula is wonderful. Buttery, balm-like, moisturizing. It glides on, and makes your lips shiny and supple without any stickiness. As for the color a pretty shade of pink.
At first it glides on clear. But like few other products currently on the market, it sort of reacts with your skin chemistry and turns a shade of pink.  I think a very wearable shade as well. There is nothing fushia or hot pink about it; and I think it would play well with any skin tone.
So if you haven't already gathered, I'm loving this product. Not as much as my Givenchy lip balm, but it's up there.  At $20 a tube it's much more pocket friendly, and practically a steal when included in a Showstopper :) Jamie I'm looking forward to your next one :)

IT Cosmetics IT-O2 Ultra Repair Liquid Oxygen Foundation

This is my current fave foundation. It was part of a Showstopper that I purchased from the Shopping Channel a little while ago. My, I was very excited to try this.

First a little bit of product knowledge gained from the packaging.  This and other IT cosmetics products is cruelty free and not tested on animals.  It is filled with such wonderful ingredients as peptides, hyaluronic acid, niacin, hydrolyzed collagen, and vitamins A, C, E.  It brings hydration to your skin, blurs imperfections with IT Cosmetics Drops of Light Technology, and claims to be a facial in a bottle :)

Now for my thoughts. First the packaging. It is all plastic, and feels a little bit cheap and flimsy. The product is protected form oxidizing with the airtight pump, and dark brown plastic. Sometimes my pump "catches" and no product will come out, but so far with a few more presses the catch is released. I'm hoping it won't break before I'm all done with it.

Impression of the product contained within. In a word AWESOME!!!  The texture is a gel like mousse. It does not run when you pump it out but it's not "thick" or "heavy" either, it just stays neatly in a little mound.  I apply this using my Sigma F82 round top kabuki brush. I find it rather light in coverage. It does not cover my spots but does manage to even out my redness very well.  It has the most beautiful finish, it blends so well that I can't tell that I'm wearing foundattion. It is dewy, feels extremely light and moisturizing.  Throughout the day I find that it does tend to fade a bit on me, but it doesn't travel, split, cake, or settle. And I feel the fading is due to my oil secreting epidermis and my need to blot.

This is my perfect winter foundation. I have oily/combination skin, but I still need hydration during dry winter months. This is ideal. My BB Cream that is not a BB Cream.  This is an anti-aging hydrating foundation, that nurtures my skin with no clogging, no breakouts, no irritation.

I will probably use all of it up before the beginning of summer (you'll see it in an empties video if I do :)). During our warm months I won't need it as it might prove to be too much. But once Canadian cool weather starts again, I sure hope Jamie has another Showstopper featuring this, because I'll be buying. I'll buy it regardless, I just love a deal.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow Waterproof Eyebrow Corrector (shade #10)

I have thin sparse very light brows and I dye my hair a very dark brown :)  If I don't fill in / define my brows they are practically invisible. So daily I fill them in, and the one time I didn't and my sister saw me she exclaimed "I didn't know your brows were so light"... oh yes they are, they are, borderline non existent.

I have used powder shadows, and pencils, and then one day I decided to also add this product from MUFE to my collection, because of the claim of smudge-proof and long lasting, and because I felt like a change.

It comes in three shades #10-light blonde, #15-blonde, and #25-ash.  After a quick swatch of each I decided on the lightest shade #10 because this gel is so incredibly pigmented that I felt it was dark enough. You might think that since I dye my hair dark brown I should have gone for the darkest shade, but I felt that would not suit me. My brows are blonde I need to darken and define, I don't want to look I used a sharpie pen on my face. Plus I use henna, it tends to fade over time.
Below a quick swatch of he color. I feel as if it comes across lighter than it is, but you'll probably swatch some of your own before buying :) The great thing about it is, that you need the tiniest of dots. I use a slanted brow brush that came with this Anastasia set. I place a dot of color on my brush, and then gently touch the brush in 3-5 spot on my brow, then I begin to fill and blend, and presto in about 10s it is properly defined :)
I like this stuff a lot. It delivers on it's claims: it lasts and doesn't smudge. It is waterproof but I didn't get my face wet to test if it stays on, and at the end of the day I use my oil cleanser first, so I don't experience any issues with removal either. I don't know when I'll need to repurchase as my tube doesn't look used at all, but when the day comes I shall let you all know.

IT Cosmetics Blush Brush

Not only do I love my IT Cosmetics matte blush, I simply adore the brush it came with. This is a perfect brush for a perfect blush. It is slanted, with a great design. The clear plastic ball in the center, somehow helps to position the brush in my hand, for a comfortable easy blending job.
As with all IT Cosmetic brushes, it is synthetic, and incredibly, and I mean incredibly soft. It's semi dense and picks up just the right amount of product when lightly tapped in my blush compact. The cut, angle, and size are ideal for my cheek... I couldn't be happier with this addition to my brush collection.
It has also been deep cleaned several times... water and soap... and dried using the best item I ever bought from Sigma. It has not shed a hair... not a one... I am a huge fan :)

IT Cosmetics Vitality Cheek Flush in Matte Sweet Apple

Since the day it arrived I have been obsessed with it. I fell in love with an image of it in an ad I was sent in the mail. It was named Matte Sweet Apple, and I knew it was going to become mine.

The packaging of IT Cosmetics blushes is a rubberized black compact. I'm sure there a few complainers out there because they are not able to see the color of the blush, and the lid should be redesigned. But I am not one of them, I love this sturdy little container... it reminds me of LMdB stuff :)
It cosmetic is cruelty free, and they do not test on animals. As well this blush is paraben free and chock full of delicious ingredients such as: plum oil, cherry oil, pomegranate, jojoba, grapeseed, vitamins A, C, & E, hyaluronic acid, green & white tea, and aloe.
And if the ingredient list doesn't have you craving to own one too, my swatches might just tempt you to check this line out. My shade Matte Sweet Apple is matte... as in, no shimmer, no sheen, no glitter, no sparkle. I love it, simply because, my skin is uneven and shiny products just exacerbate my problem. Well not this stuff.
This stuff is simply gorgeous. It is a cheek stain in powder form. Incredibly pigmented, extremely long lasting. I seriously just touch my brush to this product each morning, to get all the color I need for my cheek. At the rate I'm using this up, I shall be 50 before I hit pan :)
And in spite of the fact that it seems this blush will last me my lifetime, I want more shades :) It's just a product that is worth my money... well done Jamie :)

February Empties

Quite a few of them actually... February has been a month of using stuff up :)
